Bob Dylan, a poet from the hippie years, is an icon of counter-culture. Maarten Van Cauwenberghe, Lisbeth Gruwez’s musician, kept listening to him during the company’s warm-up. Dylan’s music did not use to be the choreographer’s style but her friend made her change her mind, noticing that
« friends often open up new worlds ». This story of mutual trust gave her the urge to « start the fight ». Together, they have composed an eight track album on which the dancer, alone on the stage, surrenders up to enabriation to the folk rythms of the American Rimbaud counterpart, as if she continued an organic, sensual, fluid and hypnotic dialogue with her own inner music world.
